Week 1 MOCA

Gilles Tran

“The Wet Bird”

Gilles Tran is an artist who loves taking photos of different cities. The peice that stood out to me was The Wet Bird (Below). Gilles chose New York City as the setting for his creation.  Gilles used a motion blur caption of someone walking down the street to make the piece realistic. Gilles used a photo of Times Square as the foundation. Gilles used a number of different buildings, crosswalk signs, street lamps, textures, UV mapper, to complete the project. The artist put countless hours into The Wet Bird (Over 21 hours). I have provided a link above so anyone can view the specifics of the project. I like how the picture looks 3d. By doing research, I learned about all the additions to the photo and the amount of time it took to accomplish it. The final render took about 21 hours on a Pentium II 350 Mhz.pastedGraphic.pdfpastedGraphic_1.pdf
