This piece is titled “Mandy”. The artist’s name is Linda Levy; she has been
painting and creating artwork images using the computer as artist's media since
1985. This artist uses a Pentium-based
computer and an artist's software program, called "Painter". She uses this program to create one-of-a-kind
artwork pieces, which are printed and finished in an archival tradition. She also
uses this program along with some other web-authoring software, to create
websites for other artists and those who wish their site to have an aesthetic
appeal. In the past couple of years,
Linda Levy has also been pulled into graphic designing...artists, and others,
wanted business cards, artist's statements, postcards, all reflecting who they
are as an artist or person.
This piece reminds me of the week 2 assignment. I love the colors and the fact that you can
still see the woman’s features. Its looks
kind of like a painting; It’s amazing what the computer can do today.
I really like this picture... beautiful find!
ReplyDeleteStarting with a photograph and radically altering it is a great way to arrive at an interesting illustration.
ReplyDeleteCool; it's like the person is being washed away by colors..
